Call for Registration and Participation – Day 5 National Research Week (NRW) 2026 (Friday, 24 April 2026)
Day 5 – Theme: Future Society, Education and Human Development.
The National Research Week 2026, coordinated by the Mauritius Research and Innovation Council (MRIC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research and scheduled from 20 to 24 April 2026, is a flagship national event bringing together academia, industry, policymakers, and international experts. This year’s theme is “Research for Innovation, Society, and Sustainability.”
Day 5, organised by the Mauritius Institute of Education in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Quality Assurance Authority (QAA) Mauritius, Open University Mauritius (OUM), Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGI), Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre (RGSC), Middlesex University (MDX Mauritius), and African Leadership College of Higher Education (ALCHE), will focus on the theme‘ Future Society, Education and Human Development.’ The session aims to provide a platform for academics, researchers and practitioners to share insights and critical thought-provoking perspectives on several related sub-themes.
Day 5 is scheduled on Friday, 24 April 2026, in Lecture Theatre 1 of the University of Mauritius, Reduit, as follows:
Morning Session (9 am-12 pm) – Keynote address and panel discussion
Afternoon Session (1 pm -4 pm) – TED Talk Presentations and Discussion
Researchers, academics, Master’s and Doctoral students, as well as all those interested in the thematic area outlined above, are warmly encouraged to participate in the event.
