3. Early Childhood Education – Teacher Certificate (ECETC) PT
The Early Childhood Education Teacher’s Certificate (ECETC) programme has been designed to equip pre-service trainees with the relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes to support the child’s development and learning.
This course is open to all trainees who have 5 passes at ‘O’ level including English and offered to pre-service as well as in-service teachers.
The programme is run over two academic years (four semesters) and carries 40 credits ,where 1 credit is equivalent to 15 hrs of lecture time.
The courses are run in a face to face as well as in a blended mode using the Moodle platform. Due to the actual situation prevailing in Mauritius all courses are run online using TEAMS.
