5.1 Activity Books for Pupils and Parents of Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5
The Pupil’s Activity Book is one of the resources developed for strengthening the partnership between teachers, pupils and their parents and to provide pedagogical support to teachers. It provides opportunities for parents to play a more active role in promoting the learning and adoption of environmentally sustainable and healthy habits among their children by helping their wards to complete the activities under their guidance. The Activity Book also contains useful tips for parents, children and the wider community for a healthy and clean planet.
5.2 Teacher’s Guide for Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5
The Teacher’s Guide includes lesson plans which provide details on activities on selected concepts addressed in Grades 2, 3, 4 & 5 of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum as well as the curriculum for The Arts and Values & Citizenship Education (VACE) through an integrated and interdisciplinary approach. Most of the activities also promote a play-based approach. The use of an integrated, interdisciplinary and play-based approach will make learning fun and meaningful for pupils while simultaneously facilitating holistic education to foster habits to keep future generations and the planet healthy.
