Bachelor of Education (Secondary) for Pre-Voc Educators PT
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed Part time) with Honours (3 years) is a professional development programme for in-service educators of the Secondary sector. The programme is offered on a part-time basis with a degree of flexibility and convenience to educators who are holders of HSC or a degree in a subject area not taught at school. The course is designed to support and prepare educators to upgrade their professional skills to meet the emerging challenges in the teaching profession. The 3-year B.Ed Part time programme is based on the National Qualifications Framework that sets down the competencies to be developed at the undergraduate level. The modules are pitched at NQF levels 6, 7 and 8 to ensure a smooth and progressive transition through the modules. The programme offers opportunities for in-service educators to experience both face-to-face interactions and online classes. It has 360 Credit Accumulated Transfer Scheme (CATS) points and is structured around three basic components.
- Taught modules
- Teaching Practicum
